Alaturi de lansarea noului smartphone la IFA 2013 din Berlin Sony a mai prezentat si noile lentile Sony Smart Shot ce pot fi folosite alaturi de smartphone transformadu-l astfel intr-o camera foto.
Lentilele Sony Smart Shot utilizeaza un sistem magnetic si pot fi folosite alaturi de orice smartphone: iPhone sau Android, numele acestora vine dintr-o derivatie al Cyber-Shot, cel mai cunoscut brand al companiei in materie de camere foto digitale. Telefoanele ce utilizeaza aceste lentile adaptive vor trebui sa foloseasca si aplicatia Sony Playmoemories.
Modelul QX-10 are un senzor CMOS de 18MP si lentile f/3.3-5.9 iar modelul QX-100 are un senzor CMOS de 20.2MP cu o apertura f/1.8 si zoom optic de 3.6x, echivalentul camerei foto Sony RX100MII.
Pretul lentilelor oferite de Sony variaza intre 400$ si 450$.
